Hello there! I am a Software Engineer and Internet Professional

My name is Dan Pock and I love Internet Technology, Coding, & Open-Source.

I have a background in Linux System Administration, Marketing and Management. Currently I work as a Software Engineer, at Rancher (SUSE), where I work to develop and maintain various Rancher systems. Some of the areas I'm responsible for are: `rancher/rancher` helm chart, the Rancher Backup and Restore tool, maintaining various Observability tools and helm charts.

In the recent past, before my current role I was a Premium Support Engineer assigned to and assignting Rancher customers. Before SUSE, I worked in various Digital Markeing, System Administration and Technical Writing roles at: Farm Bureau Insurance (Michigan), Liquid Web, and at tech startups. In those roles I reqularly woked on projects like: website analytics and tag tracking, product page building, technical artical writing and even open-source work.

I love teaching myself new skills and learning new hobbies in my spare time. It's not rare to catch me reading about new technology, coding, and/or digital marketing. I love to challenge myself and develop new skills (while improving old ones). My favorite language to code in is PHP using modern standards, but I can get by in plenty of others! I really love open-source software and enjoy contributing back when I can.
