Hello there! I am a Marketing Generalist and Internet Professional

My name is Dan Pock and I love Internet Technology, Coding, & Open-Source.

I have a background in Linux System Administration, Marketing and Management. Currently I work as a Digital Content Strategist, at Farm Bureau Insurance, where I work to develop and implement digital content and digital marketing strategy. This is a new role for the organization so every day is a new adventure!

In the recent past, before my current job I was a Technical Copywriter in the Marketing department at Liquid Web, a managed hosting company. During that time I had the opportunity to focus the company's main marketing efforts; tag/pixel tracking, email marketing, product page building, etc. A major component of my position was content creation for the company's Knowledge Base, various blogs, and website. I also regularly worked on projects from: social media managment, campaign execution, open-source development work, and web-development.

I love teaching myself new skills and learning new hobbies in my spare time. It's not rare to catch me reading about new technology, coding, and/or digital marketing. I love to challenge myself and develop new skills (while improving old ones). My favorite language to code in is PHP using modern standards, but I can get by in plenty of others! I really love open-source software and enjoy contributing back when I can.
